I'm Baaaaaaaaack!

I admit, I fell off the blogging wagon.  Once the holidays hit in full force, I just couldn't find the time or mental effort required to update this page.  Alas, today is a new day, and I'd like to continue sharing my thoughts with the world.

So, here's something I've been thinking....

I don't know how to sit still.  I think this is a trait I picked up soon after my son started sleeping on a normal nap schedule.  Once I realized that I had a precious few hours in the day that I could count on to be mine, and I started obsessing over using EVERY moment as best possible.  So, most days when he's sleeping I'm scurrying around the house cleaning up the toys strewn about the floor, squeezing in some dusting of high up shelves that no one ever sees or sweeping the kitchen floor of toddler crumbs for the millionth time.  It's worth it at the end of the day when I can walk through the house on my way to lock the front door and see nary a throw pillow out of place.  It's probably NOT worth all the effort, though, because with all this running around, I miss out on some quiet lesiure activites I really enjoy such as reading, writing, scrapbooking and of course, Internet time wasting. So, against all my obsessive instincts, I am going to try to let the Little People linger on the floor a bit longer so I can finally finish Loving Frank before it's a year that I've been reading it and finish my son's baby book before he turns two.
